Modification Scoping Report submitted to NSW Planning Portal

Origin has submitted a Modification Scoping Report to the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure as part of progressing a proposed modification to the Yanco Delta Wind Farm Environmental Impact Statement, originally submitted by Virya Energy in 2022.

This initial report outlines changes to the construction methodology and the location of some infrastructure components. There are some project design details that are yet to be finalised which will be included in a full Modification Application to be submitted later this year.

The initial Modification Scoping Report can be viewed on-line on the NSW Planning Portal here, noting it is not open for public comment. 

There will be an opportunity for public review and feedback during a public exhibition period once the full Modification Application is submitted to the NSW Major Projects Planning Portal later this year. Origin will hold community information sessions at several locations, with subject matter experts on hand to answer any questions. 

Origin is committed to ongoing and transparent communication about the project. Email notification of the Modification Scoping Report was provided in mid-June along with a mail out to households in Jerilderie and Coleambally. Origin plans to notify interested parties ahead of the public exhibition period for the full Modification Application.
