Community Investment Fund

Origin has proudly supported communities across NSW through community investment programs for more than a decade. Origin’s community investment activities target community wellbeing, community resilience, economic development and the environment.

About the Fund

The Yanco Delta Wind Farm Community Investment Fund is one component of Origin’s shared benefits program.

Origin is proud to support communities near the Yanco Delta Wind Farm through a dedicated Community Investment Fund. We recognise that major energy projects have an impact on the places and people around them, and we’re committed to giving back in meaningful ways.

The Fund will accept applications of up to $10,000 to support events or initiatives that align to one or more of the community investment priorities. Applicants that demonstrate meaningful community outcomes within the Murrumbidgee and Edward River local government areas are encouraged to apply.

Origin’s Yanco Delta Wind Farm Community Investment Fund Applicant Guidelines provide more detail about focus areas, eligibility (including things we won’t support) and how applications will be assessed.

If you have any questions or need assistance in applying, drop into the Origin office in Jerilderie, email us at powerdevelopmentprojects@originenergy.com.au or call  1800 677 315.

What we fund

Our investment targets four key focus areas for local communities:

  • Community wellbeing: Initiatives that strengthen social connection, health outcomes and quality of life for local residents.
  • Community resilience: Projects that build the capacity of communities to adapt, prepare and respond to challenges.
  • Economic development: Activities that support local businesses, skills development and economic opportunity in the region.
  • Environment: Projects that protect and enhance natural assets, biodiversity and environmental outcomes locally.

Please read the Fund guidelines carefully before applying. The guidelines cover our investment focus areas in more detail, eligibility criteria (including activities we are unable to support), and how applications will be assessed.
